Frequently Asked Questions

Agri-Analytics are a Brisbane based special purpose data collection and analysis agency focused on agribusiness.

We are the exclusive provider to Latevo Farmers Mutual of their farm income analysis for the pre-underwriting assessment of their clients. We provide an independent, accurate analysis of grower income over a six-year period based on farm production information provided by the grower and their audited financial accounts.

Latevo Farmers Mutual have engaged Agri-Analytics to collect your data and provide independent analysis for your Latevo Income Assessment.

Agri-Analytics are the exclusive provider to Latevo Farmers Mutual of their farm income analysis for the pre-underwriting assessment of their clients. We provide an independent, accurate analysis of grower income over a six-year period based on production information provided by the grower and their audited financial accounts.

We will ask you to provide production information for your farm for the last six production years (2018 to 2013) and financials for the past five complete financial years (2018 to 2014).

New Clients will need to provide all of these records.  Season Update clients will only need to provide the information for the year(s) since their last Latevo Income Assessment.

You will also need to provide contact and trading name details for your farm and some contact details for your accountant.

Production Information

For each cropping year we ask for:

  • Total arable hectares
  • Total hectares sown for each crop
  • Total number of fallowed hectares (if any)
  • Harvest details (yield / tonnes harvested)
  • Details of any grain kept or used for feed / seed
  • Details of any share farmed grain not sold through your NGR

Financial Information

For each financial year we ask for:

Plus your 2019 financial year-to-date cashbooks (1 July 2018 to current date).

Your financials can be provided be uploaded by you to our online application or you can choose to provide signed authorisation allowing Agri-Analytics to collect these from your accountant on your behalf.

All the information that you and your accountant provide is securely uploaded to our online portal.  The information is only accessible by authorised Agri-Analytics staff.  Once we have completed our analysis of your data for the Latevo Income Assessment the information is shared with the team at Latevo Farmers Mutual.  This is through a secure, cloud-based storage platform.

Agri-Analytics do not retain copies of your financial records and do not email financial records, unless you request us to do so in writing.

Yes. The last possible date we can receive your data is (date to be advised by Latevo Farmers Mutual). If you have not submitted your data by this date we will not be able to complete your Latevo Income Assessment and you will not be eligible for any category upgrades from Latevo Farmers Mutual.

Agri-Analytics do not currently provide reports to growers when we have completed our data analysis. The completed analysis files are provided to Latevo Farmers Mutual as part of their underwriting for Latevo Farm Income Protection.

Latevo Farmers Mutual will provide bench marking reports at the close of each cropping season.

If you can do online grain trades or banking through your laptop, tablet or smartphone than you probably do not need our help to complete your Agri-Analytics application.  We are here to answer any questions that you might have but doing it yourself means you are free to do it in your time and not during “business hours”.  But if the online world is not for you than we are here to help you out.

Be warned!  We will ask you to complete the worksheet(s) we sent with your login details before your appointment.  This will ensure we do not have you on the phone too long and you can get back to focusing on your paddocks.

No, you do not have to complete the worksheets or provide them to Agri-Analytics. The worksheets are there as a guide for you to gather all the information you’ll need to complete our online form.

We strongly recommend that you complete the worksheets relevant to you as it will make completing our online form that much easier. Six years of production data is a lot of information to provide and the worksheets are designed to help you gather that information.

Your login details are emailed to you by the team at Agri-Analytics from the email address support@agrianalytics.com.au.  If you can’t see an email from us please check any junk or spam email folders you may have.  If you haven’t received an email from us please contact us for assistance.

When you submit your application we review the information to confirm you have provided everything we need and then begin our analysis for your Latevo Income Assessment.  If we need to seek any clarification on any of the data provided we will contact you by email.

Once our analysis is completed this will be passed on to the team at Latevo Farmers Mutual.

Please be aware that once we have handed over your completed income assessment to Latevo Farmers Mutual it will be considered locked in and no further review will be entered into. This includes but is not limited to any information you or your accountant failed to provide at the time you completed your application and any fluctuation in market values for grain you harvested/stored.

Once you submit the application you will not be able to log back into our forms to make any changes.  We strongly recommend that before you submit your application you take the time to check everything.  Once an application has been submitted by you or your accountant we lock it down to ensure the integrity of the data that has been provided.

If you do believe you forgot to include some important information when you submitted your application, please contact us as soon as possible via email at support@agrianalytics.com.au and we will try to work with you to find a solution to receive the information securely.

As we conduct our analysis if we find anything that needs to be clarified we will contact you via email. Our analysis is usually completed within one week of receiving your submitted application, at which time we will hand your completed file over to Latevo Farmers Mutual.

It is important to note that once we have handed over your completed income assessment to Latevo Farmers Mutual it will be considered locked in and no further review will be entered into. This includes but is not limited to any information you or your accountant failed to provide at the time you completed your application and any fluctuation in market values for grain you harvested/stored.

Agri-Analytics contact your accountant for your financial documentation.  We seek your permission to do this through our Authority to Release Financial Information which we ask you to complete as part of our online application.

To ensure the security of your financial data we ask your accountant to upload it into our secure portal.  This is only accessible through a login and password that we provide to your accountant.  We do not accept any files by mail or email.

The documents we ask for are your Financial Statements, Tax Returns and Cashbooks (general ledgers). You can also choose to provide these documents yourself.

Your broker will be able to assist you with claiming the Australian Government Managing Farm Risk Programme rebate.

Supporting Documentation for Partnerships & Trusts

If the farm business applying for a RIC loan is a Partnership or Trust you will need to provide originals or certified copies of supporting documentation as listed below.

What type of documents?

For Partnerships (one of the following):
a partnership agreement; or
the partnership tax return; or
the minutes of a meeting of the partnership
For Trusts:
a full trust deed and any amending supplementary deed (executed and dated); and
the full name of the settlor of the trust (only if the asset contribution at establishment is $10,000 or more)

Certified Copy

Evidence of Australian citizenship or permanent residency needs to be a copy of the relevant documentation that has been certified as true and correct by an Acceptable Referee:

Cash Flow Budget

As part of your RIC loan application you will need to provide copies of your actual and projected budget cash flows.  To guide you as to what information RIC will need they have provide a downloadable template on their webiste.  Click here to download the template.

Actual Cash Flows – Current Financial Year

Your financial year-to-date actual results and a cash flow budget projection for the remainder of the current financial year.

Projected Cash Flows – Next Financial Year

Your cash flow budget projection for the next financial year.  If, as part of your application, you are forecasting a ‘significant financial impact’ over a 2 year period, you will need to include a budget for the applicable period.

Identification Requirements

As part of your RIC loan application you will need to be able to provide documentary evidence (proof) of the identity of all the individuals associated with your farm business. This includes:

The acceptable identification must contain the individuals full name and either residential address or date of birth.  The acceptable identification documents comprise:

A certified copy of identification is one that has been certified as true and correct by an Acceptable Referee:

Citizenship / Permanent Residency Requirement

At least one member of the farm business applying for a RIC loan must be an Australian citizen or have Australian Permanent Residency.

As part of your RIC loan application, you will need to provide evidence (proof) of Australian citizenship or permanent residency for that member of your farm business. We will ask you to upload copies of the certified documents to our secure form.

What type of documents?

Evidence of Australian citizenship or permanent residency needs to be a copy of the relevant documentation that has been certified as true and correct by an Acceptable Referee:

A Season Update client is a farming entity that has previously had Latevo Farm Income Protection and has completed a Latevo Income Assessment.

If you are unsure if you are a Season Update client please contact Latevo or your broker for assistance.

A New Client is a farming entity that has not previously taken out Latevo Farm Income Protection or has never had a Latevo Income Assessement.

If you are unsure if you are have ever had a Latevo Income Assessment please contact Latevo or your broker for assistance.

Please ensure the cashbooks files are a detailed general ledger (transaction) by category report preferably in pdf format from your accounting software.  There should be an individual file for each financial year.

Do not provide summary files, we are specifically looking at your grain sales transactions and a summary file will not provide this detail.

If you would prefer not to provide your full cashbooks please ensure you provide your detailed grain transactions and any associated transactions such as share farming.
