Drought across much of the country has refocussed attention on options for grain growers to manage production and financial risks within their business. Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) is one of the tools available for farmers. Ian Gourley farms near Narrabri in north west New South Wales, producing cereals, pulses and oilseeds in winter and cotton and sorghum in summer.
